Today was the first time I connected a projector to the new laptop. Good news: worked reasonably well, though we couldn't find the option to tell the laptop to display different values on the projector and the screen.
Bad news: something has changed in the settings such that the laptop can no longer recover from a suspend-to-ram. It comes back on and displays a bit of red "corruption" on the screen but is completely frozen (I haven't been able to determine if the keyboard is also non-functional, it seems to be, as e.g. ctrl-alt-f1/ctrl-alt-backspace doesn't refresh the screen).
I use suspend-to-ram every time I use the machine, while I use a projector *maybe* once a month, so it's a bit of a bum deal.
