The problem being that, in this refactoring, the entire operating mechanism is being replaced with a new one. Instead of scanning a CMTS/Plant, it now scans a single modem or a sub-set of all modems (or that's the idea, in point of fact I'm still stuck where I can process individual modems, but they are all getting processed at the same time).
