Oh, look, OpenGL 3.0 is out

Seems I really need to get PyOpenGL3.0.0 released some time soon.  Reviews of the OpenGL 3.0 spec aren't particularly positive so far, but the "rewrite" doesn't seem to be particularly noticeable at the API level, so should just be a few new extensions.

    hey,

I'm glad they decided not to break backwards compatibility so much. Well that's what I've seen so far... some of the goodies look nice :) It'll be a while before we get to play with it though.

How about a virtual sprint weekend or day for pyopengl? If you have it on a weekend, in say 2-3 weeks I think a bunch of people would turn up to help.

Just before the pyweek starts? September 30th? That would give people enough notice, and give enough time to prepare a page full of tasks for people to work on.

We could announce the sprint on the pygame website, and various other places.

I could be there to help review/commit patches to cvs, and to fix things of course.

Let me know if you want to do it? We've done these little virtual sprints for pygame in the past, and it can be quite fun :)

    cu,
