Infrastructure sucks time

Just spent more than 13h on getting a new server, Trac, svn, ssl, selenium test-suite configuration and the like set up for a new project. It's amazing how much time you can spend on this stuff just to get a basic working environment, not anything particularly special mind you, just an environment where you can begin to customize the behaviour to the needs of the project. Granted, a significant part of the time was actually the balky server (kernel couldn't handle the raid driver), as was the selenium + Firefox 3 bug (would hang creating the profile), but those are exactly the kind of thing you expect to see in system setup work.
Anyway, tomorrow I should be able to really pound on the test setup and get the tests flowing like a crystal stream of truth. Oh, and the new laptop shipped today (yay!)
