The installation is now compiling gcc (a C compiler), and taking it's merry time about it. Something seems to be blocking rsync, so all of the packages are getting downloaded via http. I gather it will take at least another solid day of processing to finish (since apparently XFree86, KDE and Mozilla are all slow compiles). Probably should have waited for the weekend. Still, should be able to get back onto Windows some time this evening (when the bootstrap and kernel compilation stages are finished).
