Had another "tinny" recording last night, and am getting tired of having no music while I work, so decided to get the old SBLive installed to act as the back-end's card so that (hopefully) the front-end will let me play music while the back-end is recording (without karking up the recording).

Spent way too long trying to figure out why the audio wasn't recording. In the end it turned out that you have to restart the back-end when you change which device it is supposed to use. Is working now, though I haven't yet tested to see if it can play audio while recording.

Have to get to work now anyway.
