Seven, In the Morning?

You hear rumours
About hours
Between four in the morning
When all good men go to sleep
And noon
When men of virtue rise
But then one day
You experience it first-hand
Forced upon you by the ungodly
The craven
The corrupt
Only then
Do you truly understand;
They are evil

Early to bed, early to rise
Doth our dear mcfletch despise
Once counted him with gentlemen
Witness here his nasty hand
Casting aspersions on men of light
He is viced in the snare of darkened night
With danger now, early daylight be fraught
As we fear the reprisal of his usurped thought
Plz exhort morning glory not to frolic about
He would bludgeon her to death no doubt

i prescribe 3 happy pills before bed for those early rises, should help you wake with a smile on your face. i have some here but apparently can't send. type this into a word document ' :) :) :) ' and they will appear like magic. never let it be said i don't do anything for ya :D
Damn the morning glory wench!
Clattering on the cobbles hence
She's a tart of ill repute
Fit for not but combat boot
Can't she see we are abed
Trying to rest our gentle head
She's often on the silken arm
Of glistening men meaning harm
Forcing open weary eyes
Showing some meager sunlit prize
We'll have none of that round here
Toss her out let's give a cheer
Wrap the smooth-soft darkness round
With its gentle soothing sound
No more here her cocks and bells
Morning merchant hawking yells
She must be stopped she must be gone
No man living should see the dawn

    His Poetry

Of course I know he doesn’t
Put pen to page for me
I know it can be like a drug
Evoking one impetuously
I know it is a quick fix dose
Of silent partner empathy
I know it rivals cheaply
Much aptly rendered therapy
I know it can procure escape
From tedious reality
I know it’s an amusing way
To document a diary
I know that it can satisfy
The yen for creativity
I know all this yet wonder…
Has he an inkling of the ecstasy
Not to bed not to rise
Is the only way that Honey survives
One daily schedule rolls on into the next
You find yourself a little perplexed
On how to cram a 10 day week into 7
Before you hit the bed agen
Did they neglect to tell you my sweet
Today ‘awake is the new sleep’?
Can’t be whiling away precious hours
Inertially on hollow pillows
So the schedule now reads
‘I’ll sleep when I’m dead’
Hoping they can spare me a bed :)
