I've switched to using the new cell phone as my alarm clock. It's with me, has a battery, and doesn't risk having the computer blast Rose out of bed in the morning if I'm not there to catch it. It worked fine, I woke up at 08:00, crossed the room, opened it up, pressed a button, closed it, set it down, re-crossed the room and dropped back into bed for 1.5 hours.
Now being late, I got up, stretched, and thought to myself "I'm late anyway, I should accept that and do laundry before I go down", and then "oh, and I need to walk and play with Caillou", and then "oh, and I should try to organise my thoughts for BarCamp in case I wind up presenting", and then a few bug-fixes for work and getting clothing together for going wall-climbing this evening, and then some attempts at fixing comments here... and then I thought, "let's write a blog post about those days when little errands pile up in front of you so high you need to steal some time and get them done" and things went all to heck...
