Yay, fairly usable meliae loading

Unscheduled day off work today... which means... RunSnakeRun (and SquareMap) got quite a few performance improvements when handling Meliae dumps.  It still takes 3-4 minutes to load a 16MB capture (that is, an dump that captured 16MB of objects) but once loaded it is reasonably close to interactive.  I haven't got time to work on moving the load into background and provide updates (currently just freezes the screen), but I suppose that needs to happen some time.

Great to hear about work on RunSnakeRun - I use it a fair amount and it's super useful. Thanks for all your work on it!

There is a UI bug when running on XP. The tab control on the bottom-right panel is mostly obscured by some large white control. I'll send a proper bug report with screenshots so you can see what I mean.

I'll check out the source and see if I can figure out what's going on, but I've never used bzr nor wxPython before, so I may not be very speedy at it. :-)

Do you want we should try to co-ordinate via the (currently inactive) bug tracker at:

    https://bugs.launchpad.net/runsnakerun

Or should I just email you?

    Best regards,

    Jonathan

Either bug report or direct email is fine with me. I have an XP VM somewhere I can work on to test/fix the problem.
