Moving forward (Leaps off small businesses...)

Effective the end of May I'll be resigning from VexTech, where I've worked for the last 3 years. It's an amicable exit, I just need more space in which to move.

Most likely I'll be starting my own company and trying to build that into a small contract programming business to run alongside my eventual return to school. I'm planning to hire people to do day-to-day detail coding, letting me focus more on solving more complex problems. I'd like to put some focus on niche VoIP application development, putting into practice some ideas I have regarding how to deliver such things effectively. Short term I'll be picking up the contracts that VexTech doesn't have bandwidth to finish once I'm gone.

Anyway, for now I'm enjoying the opening vistas of possibility and am not worrying too much about which particular path I'll take. Sometime next week I'll have to make some final decisions and start things in motion.

Congrats on the leap into entrepreneurship. I'd be happy to talk with you about this, if you'd like. It's a big shift in mindset, but also a huge opportunity.<br />

Thanks Evelyn, may take you up on it once I have my ducks lined up a little more.
