Developer's image is ready (For the first tests, anyway...)
Last update on .
The Sugar developer's image is ready now. It has the full Gnome desktop, Sugar, Eric3 and Inkscape, as well as the normal development toolchain (gcc, svn, git, bzr, cvs, etceteras). We'll have to figure out how to make it available (it's 3GB). Anyway, it should allow a Linux or Win32 user to download it, and the VMWare player and get started running and developing Python code for Sugar in a few hours (most of that time being for downloading and decompressing the image).
[Update] Ivan say's OLPC can host it, but they'd really prefer that it be a Fedora Core image. Going to be a while before I can block in enough time to work on that around paying work (need to focus exclusively on that (and the engagement party, and the accounting... hmm, not exactly exclusive... oh well) this week). I'm hoping some Fedora enthusiast will jump up and say "Oooh, I'll do that" in the meantime :) .

As people seem to prefer it, here's the tracker URL:<br />

this is my first created bittorrent and it's running on a fairly saturated link (I'm uploading the image to a server for direct downloads), but enough with the caveats... caveat emptor!

So... what is it then?
