Water Clocks

Father, so like me
We seem to never talk
Who never writes or calls
We should be sides
Of a single stream
But little things
Meaning
Nothing
Come between
Drifting through precious time
Alone
Casting all about
For the right place to stand
We'll run the water of the clock
Dry if neither makes it stop

Ok well this one does make me :(. You know reading this poem reminded me of a song, Rick Price’s Bridge Building Man. Actually it was very hard not to make an association since it was playing as I read the post :). A couple of weeks ago in a desperate attempt to grasp onto something of substance I elevated it to my all time favourite song. This may be hard to believe when you listen, as it hasn’t got the ‘grab ya’ factor *shrugs*. There is more to my appreciation of it than just the moral though; I find it quite nostalgic for various reasons. So in the interest of synchronicity (the theory of at least) I’ve uploaded it should your curiosity get the better of you. No offence taken if not…I’m sure the last thing you need is comments homework :-D.<br />

Definitely a nostalgic feeling to the song. I like it :) . I probably would have liked it just as much without the explicit inclusion of the moral, just for the nostalgic feeling.
