Android 2.2 seems pretty 2.1-like...

Got one of the phones flashed up to 2.2 (an unsupported release for it), so in theory I'll be able to develop/test OpenGL ES 2.0 now.  I spent far longer than I should have doing that (the whole day, basically, what with various mis-steps and spending hours trying to figure out what the best ROM would be to flash), and now I have the perverse desire to install one of the more exotic ROMs on it (e.g. MIUI), just because I am now set up to flash the thing :) .  2.2 standard just seems like a few minor tweaks over 2.1.  It doesn't feel like enough of a change to justify the pain of the installation.

Android 2.2 was all about the JIT compiler, much faster than 2.1. 2.3 was a pretty minor update to 2.2 in my opinion (black top bar was my favorite standout feature :) ), especially when compared to ICS.
