Why minority parties want proportional representation (For those who are curious)

The Greens do appear to have more than enough support for funding in the next election (4%). To put that into perspective, that's something like 12 seats worth of the popular vote, but not a single actual seat obtained.

Party

Liberal

Conservative

Bloq

NDP

Green

Independent

Nothing horrific there, it's not like there's an entirely opposite result to the popular vote, but it is freaky to see the Bloq with 3x as many seats but only 3/4 of the votes compared with the NDP. Parties which are geographically diverse minority parties (e.g. NDP and Green) fare far worse than those which are geographically localised (e.g. the Bloq). Together the NDP and Green parties have 20% of the popular vote, but only 6% of the seats in parliament!
