Change is as good as a rest (As old men like me are want to say...)

Spent the entire day on importing CAD maps into Cinemon. I don't know whether it's just being back in a Twisted-based environment with full sessions, persistent state, a full ORM and the rest, but it seems like it was a far more pleasant 9 hours than 9 hours coding raw CGI with no templating system, no ORM, and all the fun jobs already done by someone else.

In fact, I'm feeling good enough to consider doing another couple of hours on the project (back to the remote query server ticket).

That last part of the 1st paragraph didn't make any sense.<br />
You prefer coding everything yourself in Twisted vs. using stuff coded by others for CGI?<br />

Hmm, no, I prefer the Twisted environment, where everything (sessions, templates and the like) are readily available (Nevow, Web2). The CGI environment I'm referring to has an explicit bar on the use of "web frameworks", so has to be coded in raw CGI.
