Rochelle I mentioned yesterday as having been instrumental in introducing me to people who went out of their way to introduce me to people who could make decisions about institutional commitment. One of those people who went out of their way was Simone.

She took me on a dizzying trip through the various departments and faculty... honestly it probably wouldn't have been that dizzying if I hadn't been jet-lagged, but it felt dizzying. The problem being that I didn't get cards from most of the people to whom I was talking and my mind was basically sitting in "Park" most of the time.

Librarians to the rescue! Not only did Simone catalogue who she'd introduced me to, she catalogued a large fraction of the people that Laurie had in turn introduced me to.
