Oh, Marjan is alive (Just doesn't check her email very often I'm told...)

I'd asked Marjan (I know, I know, stop relying on file photos!) if she'd like to go to Dan's party. She just got the email yesterday (day after the party). Sigh. How can anyone leave email unread for multiple days when they are at home? I mean, I find it refreshing when I'm away ...

Oh, while I'm thinking about it ((I'm not actually *tired*, so I'm procrastinating about going to bed))

I really have to have a games night sometime soon. I'm thinking Cranium, rather than Scrabble (it's still in the shrink-wrap; apparently it's not as good a bait as I was led to believe... even the one that requested it hasn't shown up), since Scrabble maxes out at 4 people.

Socialisation is the greatest joy ...

A long and involved email will sit in the queue for a good long time (Short and dealing with a single issue or idea I can respond to while tests run...)

Never did get around to finishing reading Jelle's last big email. I've written two responses already, but I'm only about 1/2 way through it, and the rest appears to be requiring some serious thought to properly answer.

I'm very bad at long emails these days, it's the kind of thing where you know it's ...

What the wimmin-folk are up to (Sisters and friends wandering about the place...)

Lara (file photo) came by to watch the Grammies (as distinct from grams) on our TV, she's still out there singing and clapping every once in a while, then she switches over to Jerry Macguire and gets all maudlin.

Rosey (again, file photo) is beetling away (just looked that up for spelling and discovered that ...

That was a fun little party (Even though I do seem to have offended at least one lady...)

Went over to Dan's place for a potluck party. Lots of interesting folks. Had quite a few interesting conversations, on design, design theory, religion (where the lady got offended), politics, technology (solar, wind, hydrogen economies), computers (and some work), and other things I've forgotten.

Tried to practice my listening a little, but at least three ...

Another fascinating article from Shane (Apparently Fox News has decided to castigate this chap instead of dealing with the issues...)

You should probably read this series of letters and articles. Churchill's article is obviously intended to be inflamatory. Maybe that's a good thing. Maybe it's the only way to wake up the United States to the insanity of their foreign policy.

I doubt it will make a difference (especially given the Chancellor's spineless reaction ...

Siren call of sleep (Day disappears in the pursuit of rest)

Didn't sleep well last night, so wound up spending basically the entire day trying to make up for it. Still kinda out of it.

Still having weird problems with the OpenGLContext renderer. Anyway, should make myself some coffee and work on that. Want to finish watching Minority Report (first time) first, though.

Most readers are looking for maids and anime porn when they come here (Tim's webalizer fixes allow me to see my *real* constiuency...)

Oh, sure, there's a few people who were looking for Python or virtual reality information. Apparently a lot of (likely disappointed) Curious George fans too, but really it's Willendorf and Claire who draw almost all of the search-engine-originating traffic (44 hits for those two).

Only things that people seem more concerned about is clutter. Strange ...

In a shameless attempt to boost ratings (Yet more pictures of beautiful women...)

Went to Lara and Melissa's party this evening. Was a mostly musical crowd, but very little real jamming occured. Did make me wish I'd learned an instrument back in school instead of just focussing on vocals... vocal improv takes a little bit more patience from the audience... and whistling doesn't quite cut it.

Afraid that ...
