Realised that I couldn't book without first confirming with Shane that we're not going to try to find a place with triple-occupancy allowed. I'm seriously considering the hostel on the PyConForCheap page. It's almost the same price as splitting a $100/night room 3 ways, and I don't really need much from my hotel, just a place to sleep (plus we don't have the triple-occupancy headache).
