We had our engagement party on Saturday evening, something remotely like a traditional Albanian one, just the two families getting together to get to know each other. Quiet little thing at which I asked Soni to marry me. She said yes :) .

There is now a great deal of chocolate in the house. Soni bought me a delightful 70% chocolate with well done chili (the ones we've been getting for the last few months are very harsh by comparison, with none of the delightful after-bite). Shiva and Shademan gave us a large heart-shaped tray. Aida included a box of truffles. Rose bought a litre or so of chocolate coated almonds and we still have 4 or 5 of the little chocolates we gave out to guests.

And Soni swore she'd give up chocolate for a month on Thursday :) .
