Wow, that took far longer than it should have (Need to get ZPhotoSlides set up somewhere...)

Vindaloo.
Just got the PyCon photos dumped into a viewable format... it's not pretty, as many of the photos are rotated ninety degrees, but it should all be viewable. Warning: there are a lot of them, that page will be very slow on a dial-up connection! They are also still uploading, it'll probably be 2AM before they are finished.
[Later] Hmm, make that 3AM... have to get a better mechanism set up for publishing these things!

I've come to just keep all pictures on my own box. Hardly anyone looks at them (but perhaps this is just my problem!), so it's not like availability or speed is a huge issue. Saves uploading, saves disk space (on the ISP side) and clutter. Easier to make changes and make sure everything is updated. I just point to them from the ISP site.
Hmm, I thought they included kallery in the kde 3.4 webdev package. Always wanted to see if it might be acceptable for making quick displays... but nope, doesn't seem to be there.. though it is on the web site... hmmm. http://kallery.kdewebdev.org/
I really wish Rogers didn't have a "no servers" policy. It would be so much simpler and more elegant to do the same here (host the pictures out of a zope instance with zphotoslides). Consumer cable broadband has its limits.

No server policy. Ha. Forgot about such things. Rather ironic in the age of P2P, too.
