Long lunches are pleasant, but they push the day quite late (Thai buffet was well worth it, beautiful female companion was icing on the cake...)

XXX (picture and description withdrawn by request) was in town today (from ZZZ), so she dropped in and took Shane and I out to lunch at a little restaurant around the corner from Shane's place. XXX is a rather beautiful woman, admirable in all sorts of dimensions, so it's always fun to get together with her. Mostly talked about political, scientific and relationship issues/ideas, so exactly my cup of tea.

Anyway, long day tomorrow, so I suppose I'll look at heading to bed now. Spent an hour or so trying to rid Rosey's computer of virii and trojan horses... without any luck. Going to have to rebuild it ASAP... likely this weekend I suppose.

I have confirmed that Knoppix does have a captive-ntfs installer with it. It is on the menu kde system somewhere. Can see it in the package list.

Apparently XP SP2 breaks the captive installer, but there are workarounds, and i doubt this applies to Rosey's box.
Rosey's box is a Win2K box, however, the captive NTFS driver in Knoppix 3.7 is unable to detect the NTFS partition. Spent 40 minutes on it without any useful result. Think I'll just blow the windows install away and re-install rather than spend any more time trying to edit it under Linux.
