I've had a persistent problem with a truly trivial little SOAPpy server silently failing with no exceptions, no messages, nothing. So, needing to get this critical feature working ASAP, I created a bog-simple watching script that checked for that SOAPpy server and restarted it when necessary, on the theory that whatever was killing the SOAPpy ...

Spent the first half of the day on technically billable, but effectively unbillable material (because it bills against future sales of a client corporation). After that switched to real billables. Luckily, I have a new employee who spent the whole day on billables... just makes me feel better to know that someone's making money.

I've finally got StarPy uploaded to SourceForge. Still waiting on getting a mailing list set up, but the SVN is checked in, the homepage is installed, and the file releases are uploaded (all 7 of them). That's about my time budget for this evening (sigh), but at least the annoying administrivia is out of the ...
