PyGTA Presentation Goes Smoothly (New developer commitments (one in critical area)...)

Had a pretty good first external-developer-focused presentation at PyGTA tonight. Adrian brought along the hardware (thanks Adrian! you saved me from getting lynched). We had at least 3 or 4 people install the developer's images tonight and gave out a few CDs as well. Miles had success on booting and running Sugar on VMWare for ...

Developer's Desktop v2 Out (Cleaned up version of v1)

The cleaned up version of the Developer's Desktop image (still Gentoo based) is now available on LinuxTracker. This version is only 923MB, 50MB less if you don't take the portage disk. There's not much difference between this and the v1 disk other than the packaging (1/3 the size, portage optional). I've burned 10 copies ...

That will also mean ...

There is now a great deal of chocolate in the house. Soni ...

Looks like we'll have an XO for the talk on Tuesday (Tentatively present...)

We have a tentative booking to have an XO (OLPC laptop) at the PyGTA presentation on Tuesday. I'm also going to try to get some time to both cut down and defragment the image so that it doesn't take as much disk space (I'd like to get it down to 2GB within the image and ...
